Location
- Currently I work strictly outdoors. Together we can decide on the best place based on your needs. Often a backyard is the best choice! I am happy to work at locations near Port Colborne and Wainfleet, but outside of this area I will charge for travel.
- I do not print photos. I do not make you choose only a few select photos. Once I have completed all of the editing I will place your photos on a memory stick for you. You are then free to do whatever you choose with these photos. You may provide me with a memory stick at our session, or the cost of a memory stick can be added to your fee.
- I aim to get between 8 and 10 quality photos in a one hour session but will include all photos that I think you may wish to have. Often you may have around 50 to 100 photos at your disposal depending on the nature of your session.
- I charge $85 for a one hour session.
- For multi-family sessions with more than 6 people I charge $125 for each hour.
- I am also available to photograph events such as birthday parties, where my services are required for a longer period of time.
- Other fees you may incur: travel, memory stick (see above)
What I photograph:
- Families and children
- Couples and engagement photos
- Individual portraits
- Parties and other special events (unfortunately I am not ready to start photographing weddings just yet!)
- Holiday portraits eg. photos for Christmas cards
Some tips on what to wear:
- Be aware of your surroundings. If the shoot is going to be in a park setting and there is a lot of green, choose colours that will go nicely with green, to help make your photos come alive! If it’s a fall shoot you may choose to stick with navy, brown and burgundy or orange.
- Feel free to bring some extra clothes to switch it up. Keep in mind we are outdoors and often there will be no place to change.
- Avoid logos and shirts with distracting pictures on them. i.e. shirts that say "GAP" or have a popular kids character.
- Be comfortable!
- Feel free to bring any props that you wish to have included in your shoot. Eg. A favourite teddy bear, blanket, etc.
For family photos/larger groups:
Coordinate – don’t match and don’t clash. Pick a two or three colour combination and mix it up.
- Eg. Everyone wears jeans and you have different combinations of tops with purple, grey and black.
- Other colour combinations that work well are grey, yellow and navy or black, white and khaki
- Any colours are fine just be sure one person isn’t sticking out while the others are lost in the background ....and especially that you don't clash
- Accessorize…fun hat, scarf, funky flower barrette, etc.
- Layers and texture add depth to photos
